The Colossuem was the largest stadium during the Roman Empire. It can accommodate up to 80,000 people during an event. The Colossuem is one of the engineering marvels of the world because the structure is over 2,000 years old and still standing today.When you enter the Colossuem, you can almost feel as if you were a Roman or a gladiator in the ancient time. You can see where the ancient Romans once sat to see the gladiators battle each other out in very violent and bloody sport. Walking to the middle of the stadium, you can see the underground network of the Colossuem. This is where the gladiators prepare for their fight.


The Trevi Fountain

The Trevi Fountain is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Rome. The fountain is almost three hundred years old. It was commissioned by Pope Clement XII and engineered by Nicola Salvi in 1730.After a long walk through Rome, the Trevi Fountain is the perfect place for you to come relax and enjoy the beautiful architectural craftsmanship of Salvi's work. Especially during the hot summer months, the fountain is also a place to cool down. Nearby the fountain, there are many shops where you can buy ice cold and delicious gelato.


The Altare della Patria

The Altare della Patria also known as the National Monument to Victor Emmanuel II, or "Il Vittoriano" is a monument built in honor of Victor Emmanuel, the first king of a unified Italy. The monument is located right by the Trevi Fountain, between the Piazza Veniza and Capitoline Hill. The entire monument is made of marble and is the most noticeable landmark of Rome.
