EldaCare is an innovative concept that utilizes the smartphone and smartwatch to help people care for their senior relatives, especially those with early stage Alzheimer's Disease. Those who are caring for their senior relatives, or care partners, can help manage their senior relatives' daily activities from the smartphone.

Date Completed: August 2015

*For the purpose of this project, the project primarily focused on designing and developing prototype of the smartphone app for the secondary audience.

Seniors want to be independent, but impaired physical abilities may require help from a care partner. How can seniors be independent without being too reliant on their care partners?

My solution is to create an app on the smartphone that gives care partners the ability to manage the senior's daily activities, which sends reminders of the actives to the seniors on the smartwatch.

According to my research, the age range for seniors is 55 years to 75 years for my primary target audience. The age range for my second target audience, the care partners is 30 - 55.

After narrowing my target audiences, I went through the process of sketching logos and icons that were easy for the seniors to understand. In addition, I further developed the style guide for my app.

I constructed the site map to understand the scope of the app, which became the foundation for developing the Lo-Fi and Hi-Fi wireframes.
